Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein to include the petitioner's name in the Teachers name list eligible for BT (Tamil) Promotion for the year 2010-2011 prepared by him to enable the petitioner to participate in the promotion counseling for B.T Assistants scheduled to be held on 12.07.2010.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the third respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the list of eligible persons for appointment to the post of BT (Tamil) for the year 2010-2011.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Assistant and she is fully qualified to the post of BT Assistant for the year 2010-2011. However, her name was not included in the panel of eligible persons enabling her to participate in the promotion counseling. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation to the third respondent on 08.06.2010 and no action has been taken to redress the grievance of the writ petitioner.
3. Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 08.06.2010 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the representation, relevant documents along with a copy of this order.
