Respondent Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to receive the tenders of the petitioner for package 22 & 26 in Tender Notice No.12/2018-2019/HDO dated 18.06.2018 and Tender Notice No.14/2018-2019/HDO dated 20.06.2018 either on 16.07.2018 or any other day and open the tenders in the presence of the petitioner as per Rule 18 of the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Rules, 2000.

The Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondent to receive the tenders of the petitioner for package 22 & 26 in Tender Notice No.12/20182019/HDO dated 18.06.2018 and Tender Notice No.14/2018-2019/HDO dated 20.06.2018 either on 16.07.2018 or any other day and open the tenders in the presence of the petitioner as per Rule 18 of the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Rules, 2000. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions from the Officer, viz., Mr.K.Ravichandran, Assistant Chief Engineer, Highways Department, who was also present in the Court, submitted that the prayer of the petitioner has been considered and if the petitioner is present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

at 04.30 p.m. on 17.07.2018, as per the tender schedule indicating that the bid will be opened in the presence of the bidders, the respondent will not have any hesitation to open the bid of the petitioner in his presence.

3.Recording the above statement, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
