India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 09.05.2025 and grant an extension of the fishing rights period in Alapuram Lake for a further period of five years from July 2025, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.332, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, dated 17.11.1993.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioners on 09.05.2025 wherein the petitioners are seeking for extension of their fishing rights at Alapuram Village for a further period of five years from July'2025.

2. Heard Mr.P.Manojkumar, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.E.Vijay Anand, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and Ms.P.Aishwarya, learned Government Advocate appearing for third respondent.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the 2/4

case and without going into the merits of the case and taking note of the fact that the fishing rights of the petitioner is going to end in July'2025, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representation of the petitioners dated 09.05.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
