This Criminal Original petition has been filed for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, to transmit the case records pertaining to PRC No.6 of 2022 to the Principal District and Sessions Court, Tiruvallur.

It is seen from records as early as on 16.09.2022, the case was committed to the Principal District and Sessions Court at Thiruvallur. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that till date the records have not been transmitted to the Principal District and Sessions Court, Thiruvallur. Aggrieved by the same, the present Criminal Original petition has been filed before this Court.

Heard Mr.J.Saravana Vel, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2/4

Thiruvottiyur, to forthwith transmit all the case records to the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Thiruvallur, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur, shall proceed further and all steps shall be taken to complete the proceedings as expeditiously as possible. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur, shall file a compliance report on complying with the above direction. 5.

This Criminal Original petition is disposed of with the above directions.
