Crl.M.P.No.12785 of 2022 in H.C.P.No.780 of 2022 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.

AND A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.

Seeking a direction to fix an early date for final disposal of the above habeas corpus petition, the present criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed.

2.

The petitioner is the wife of the detenu Suresh, aged about 42 years, S/o.Mani. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in Memo C.M.P.No.33/Goonda/Salem City/2022 dated 27.04.2022, holding him to be a "Goonda" as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the father of the detenu, aged about 60 years, is suffering from Diabetes and bedridden. He would further submit that the detenu will have to look after the family and that a case has been foisted on him. 4.

This Court does not find any sufficient reason to fix an early date for final disposal of H.C.P.No.780 of 2022. Accordingly, this criminal miscellaneous petition is dismissed.

The Registry shall post the main habeas corpus petition for final hearing in the usual course.
