O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 05.08.2021 to grant Death Certificate to the father of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner states that his father Muniyappan died on 15.09.2017. The petitioner submitted an application on 08.03.2021 and the Sub-Collector, Dharmapuri forwarded the same to the Tashildar, Dharmapuri for conducting an enquiry and initiate action to issue Death Certificate. Since no action has been taken, the present Writ Petition came to be instituted.

3. The memo issued by the Personal Assistant to Sub-Collector, Dharmapuri dated 21.04.2021 reveals that the petitioner has submitted 15 documents to establish the death of his father Muniyappan. Therefore, the 3rd respondent / Tahsildar is directed to conduct an enquiry, if necessary, field enquiry and thereafter, initiate appropriate action to issue Death Certificate regarding the death of the father of the writ petitioner

Muniyappan. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
