ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the fifth respondent to forward the Integrated Certificate to the third respondent to facilitate the compassionate appointment of the petitioner.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she was born on 27.05.1992 to her biological parents, Nallakondaiah and N. Venkatamma. In the year 1999, when she was 7 years old, she was given in adoption to her maternal aunt, B. Venkatamma, and her husband, Krishnamoorthy, who were lawfully married and childless. Her adoptive father, Krishnamoorthy, was employed as a Sweeper in Old Division 31 of the Greater Chennai Corporation and died in service on 04.08.2001, having nominated the petitioner as his daughter in his
service records. Her adoptive mother, B. Venkatamma, was also employed as a Sweeper in Division 41, Zone 4 of the Greater Chennai Corporation and died in service on 07.01.2022, having nominated the petitioner as her legal heir for terminal benefits. The petitioner lived only under the care of her adoptive mother, who raised and educated her. Following her adoptive mother's demise, the petitioner remains her sole surviving legal heir. The untimely death of her adoptive mother, who was the family's only earning member, has left the petitioner in severe financial distress. She has studied up to 8th standard and is currently unemployed; her husband is also unemployed. The petitioner filed O.P. No. 58 of 2024 before this Court and obtained a succession certificate on 15.10.2024.
She then submitted an application for compassionate appointment on 25.10.2024 to second and fifth respondents. The third respondent thereafter forwarded a communication to the fifth respondent requesting issuance of an integrated certificate necessary for her appointment. However, no action has been taken by the fifth respondent till date.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an application for compassionate appointment on
25.10.2024 to second and fifth respondents, which is yet to be considered by them.
4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered by the respondents within a reasonable time, in accordance with law

In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2024, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
