This petition is filed to enlarge the petitioners/accused on bail in the event of their arrest, in Crime No.10 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that petitioners are daughters of first accused. First and second accused were given statutory bail. Petitioners are falsely implicated in Cr.No.10 of 2023 for the offences under Section 406, 420 and 120 (B) of I.P.C only to harass them along with their parents. Apprehending arrest, this petition is filed seeking anticipatory bail.

3.In response, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the accused had been running unregistered chit in the name of Sri Murugan Chit. They invited deposits from various subscribers and cheated them. Defacto-complainant had alone cheated to an extent of Rs.13,80,000/-. 5.It is seen from the First Information Report allegation that there are specific allegations are made against the petitioners in running the chit. It is alleged that petitioners also used to auction the chit. 6.Considering the nature of the allegations made, volume of the amount said to have been cheated by the accused in this case and nothing is recovered from the accused so far, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
