Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the 2nd respondent police to register FIR on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 23.11.2020 to the respondent police and investigate the matter in accordance with law.

The matter was heard through "Video Conference".
2. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent police to register the F.I.R on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 23.11.2020 pending on the file of the second respondent. 3.Heard Mr.C.S.Saravanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
4. Today when the matter is came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police on instructions would submit that in respect of the complaint dated 23.11.2020 given by the petitioner, the second respondent police initiated an enquiry in CSR No.368 of 2020 and the same is pending.

5. Now considering the said submission with relevant records, it is necessary to issue the following directions. On representing the grievance given by the petitioner, the second respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the enquiry is ended not in favour of the petitioner, he is at liberty to follow the guide lines given by the Division Bench of this Court in G.Prabakaran vs. Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District and another case reported in 2018

6. With the abovesaid directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
