The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 397 and 506(2) of IPC, in Crime No.443 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that petitioner along with the other accused persons waylaid the de-facto complainant and demanded money from him. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submit that the petitioner is an history sheeter and he is having three previous cases pending against against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the bad
antecedent of the petitioner and the fact that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 17.08.2022 mpl
