Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking for an issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the revised gratuity amount based on the 7th Pay Commission Recommendations implemented vide G.O.Ms.No.313, Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 25.10.2017 and to pay a sum of Rs.1,18,995/- towards the arrears amount for the Selection Grade Post along with the interest for the belated payment of gratuity and Selection Grade Arrears amount at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of petitioner retirement till the date of payment within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay the revised gratuity amount based on the 7th pay commission recommendations and to pay the amount of Rs.1,18,995/- towards the arrears amount for the
Selection Grade along with the interest for the belated payment of gratuity and Selection Grade arrears amount at the rate of 12% p.a. from the date of petitioner's retirement till the date of payment. The case of the petitioner is that, claiming Selection Grade arrear payment and difference in gratuity amount, he sent a representation dated 04.04.2025, to the respondents and the same is yet to be considered. The learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2025, and pass orders on it's own merits and in
accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
