(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) By our order dated 11.07.2024, we had sought for a Report from Hon'ble Dr.Justice P.Jothimani (Retd.), who was appointed as an Administrator to conduct the elections for Diocesan Council, the Boards and Committees under the CSI Kanyakumari Diocese along with Mr.John R.D. Santhosam, a retired District Judge.

2. Hon'ble Dr.Justice Dr.P.Jothimani (Retd.), has filed a Report stating that the elections for all the Boards have been conducted and the petitioner in this CMP was even elected as the Correspondent of Scott Christian College, which resolution was stayed by the Bishop. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the Bishop, it is open to him to have recourse to any remedy that is available to him under law. As per the Report of the Administrator, elections to all Boards have been completed. The election of a Correspondent or Secretary by the elected members is completely out of the scope of our 1/543

order dated 25.03.2024. In such view of the matter, we do not see any necessity to issue further direction.

3. Accordingly, this petition is closed, it will be open to the petitioner to have recourse to any remedy that may be available to him under Law, if he is aggrieved by the decision of the Bishop.

4. We accept the Report of the Administrator, considering the work done by the Administrators, the Kanyakumari Diocese is directed to pay a further sum of Rs.2,50,000/- to Hon'ble Dr.Justice Dr.P.Jothimani (Retd.) and R.1,50,000/- to Mr.John R.D. Santhosam, the retired District Judge. Payments shall be made within a period of four weeks from today. [R.S.M., J.] [R.S.V., J.] 22.07.2024 jv 2/543
