Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records leading to the detention of the petitioner's brother Selvam, Son of Kannayiram, Male, Aged about 38 years, who is presently lodged in Central Prison, Puzhal 600 006 and has been detained under Act 14/82 as a "Goonda" vide detention order dated 14.09.2021, made in CPT No.48/2021 by the District Collector and District Magistrate of Chengelpattu District, Chengelpattu and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the detenu, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in CPT No.48/2021 dated 14.09.2021, detaining her brother as "GOONDA" under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.5845, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 29.11.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
