This petition has been filed seeking to extend the time to comply with the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.13010 of 2024, dated 04.07.2024.
2. This Court, by an order dated 04.07.2024, has granted bail to the petitioner directing him to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties (one blood surety and one local surety) and subsequently, the blood surety was modified as a Government surety vide order dated 10.03.2025 in Crl.M.P.No.3097 of 2025. However, since the petitioner has no relative or friends in Government service, he is unable furnish sureties and come out on bail. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking extension of time to execute the sureties.

3. It is seen that the petitioner was granted bail on 04.07.2024 and even after the lapse of nearly a year, he continues to remain in judicial custody. In view of the same, this Court is inclined to modify the earlier condition to the effect that, "the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two local sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Special Judge EC and NDPS, Chennai."
4. Further, the time to execute the surety is extended by a further period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the condition is modified and the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered.
