JUDGMENT

This criminal appeal has been preferred against the order passed by the learned Court of Sessions Division of Ranipet District in Crl.MP.No.801 of 2025 dated 05.06.2025, thereby the bail petition filed by the appellant has been dismissed.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

It is seen that the respondent registered FIR in crime No.4 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Section 506(ii) of IPC and Sections 9(l), 9(f), 10 of POCSO Act and Section 3(2)(va), 3(1)(w)(i)(ii) of SC/ST Act on the allegation that the appellant committed aggravated sexual assault on the minor victim girl knowing that she belongs to SC community, that too 30 to 40 times. He also threatened her not to disclose the same to anybody. Therefore, the petitioner committed very serious and heinous offence against the minor victim girl. Now the petitioner is facing trial in Spl.SC.No.37 of 2025 on the file of the Court of Principal Sessions Court, Ranipet, Ranipet District. Therefore, if the petitioner is released on bail, he will hamper the investigation and tamper the witnesses. Further, there will a chance for committing similar offence by

him since there are also other victims. As such, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the appellant.
