PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the second respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, K.Santhiya, aged 18 years, before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent and handover the girl to the petitioner herein.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) Alleging that the petitioner's daughter, K.Santhiya, aged about 18 years, is in the illegal custody of the third respondent, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Today, the respondent police had produced the petitioner's daughter along with the third respondent before us. When we interacted with the petitioner's daughter, she disclosed that she had married the third respondent herein on 06.05.2025 and is presently living with him. She also expressed her intention to continue living with him. Since the petitioner's daughter was born on 18.06.2006 and is a major, having taken a conscious decision to marry a person of her choice and reside with him, this Court, while exercising powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, finds no

ground to entertain the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

3. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
