ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents/police to physically bring the body of the petitioner's daughter Dharani, aged about 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Dharani, aged about 20 years, went missing from 13.07.2021 and

that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.

Today N.Chandrasekar (Mobile No.98406 12094), T-11, Thirunindravur Police Station, Thiruvallur District, is present. 4.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.845 of 2021 was registered for 'woman missing' on 27.07.2021 and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Dharani was in love with one Rishwanth and appears to have eloped with him.

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pattabiram, to supervise the investigation in Thirunindravur Police Station Crime No.845 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Dharani, aged about 20 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Thiruvallur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
