With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.08.2023 for sub division of the land comprised in S.No.97/3 of Krishnankuppam Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District within a stipulated period.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject land to an extent of 1 cent along with well and electricity connection and the petitioner has also been issued joint patta along with one P.Shanmugam. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given an application to the respondent for sub division of his land, the same has not been considered by the respondent till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in 2/4

accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
