This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in the civil proceedings going on between the petitioner and the respondents No.3 to 6 in respect of O.S.No.176 of 2025 on the file of the Additional Sub Court, Chengalpattu.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner filed a civil suit in O.S.No.170 of 2025 on the file of the Additional Sub Court, Chengalpattu with regard to the civil dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents. Though the dispute between the parties is civil in nature and the same is pending before the
civil court, the respondent -Police forced the petitioner to settle the matter and harassed the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side)appearing for the respondent-Police submitted that on receipt of the complaint from the fifth respondent herein against the petitioner, CSR No.406 of 2025 was assigned and after completion of enquiry, the Investigating Agency found that the dispute between the parties is civil in nature and closed the complaint. Hence, there is no question of harassment is made out.
5. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
