O R D E R
This writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to pay arrears of rent to the tune of Rs.1,77,100/- (Rupees One
Lakh Seventy Seven thousands and one hundred only) with interest from February 2019 to December 2020 and also for a further direction to vacate the shop in respect of TASMAC Shop No.7235, Athur District, by considering petitioner's representations and to dispose of the same in accordance with law.
2. Pursuant to the interim order passed by this court, it is stated by the learned counsel for the respondents that the respondents Corporation had paid a sum of Rs.1,86,000/- by way of cheque, which is said to have been realised by the landlord/petitioner herein. Thus the first limb of the prayer in the writ petition, is satisfied.
3. Insofar as the second limb of the prayer to vacate TASMAC Shop No.7235, Athur District, the petitioner herein/landlord, has already made several representations on various dates, namely 05.09.2020, 07.09.2020 and 08.10.2020.
These representations are for requesting the respondents to pay arrears of rent and vacate the premises. As arrears of rent has already been paid, the respondents are directed to pay the monthly rent, without any default and also consider the above representations for vacating the premises and to pass appropriate orders and act accordingly, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Any default in the monthly payment of the rent, would entitle the petitioner herein/landlord to evict the respondents Corporation from the premises, in the manner known to law.
4. With the above direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
