This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in CC No. 223 of 2022 on the file of the Pricipal Special court EC and NDPS Cases, Chennai.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the respondent seized 2 kgs of Heroine from the accused persons. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and also final report has been filed in this case. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.

4. The learned Special Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner has not engaged the counsel in order to drag on the proceedings. Further, the contraband seized from the petitioner is commercial quantity. Hence, he raised objection to grant bail.

5. Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioner is commercial quantity. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. Further, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial as expeditiously as possible. If the petitioner failed to engage the counsel, the Trial court can conduct the trial by engaging counsel through legal service authority. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. 31.07.2024 pbl
