This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in crime No. 108 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is the brother of Adhina Madathipathi Sri La Sri Masilamani Swamy. The petitioner is working as a personal assistant to the Adhina Madahtipathi. The petitioner and other accused persons cotacted the de facto complainant, claiming that they had an obscene video of Adhina Madathipathi Sri La Sri Masilamani Swamy and threatened to make it public if they were not paid. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on 20.02.2024, the petitioner accompanied with the Adhina Madathipathi in Varanasi and also on the date of the subject complaint, the petitioner was with the said head Patriarch in Kasi. Hence, he prays to allow this
petition.
4. The learned counsel for the intervenor submits that the petitioner informed the other accused about he obscene video and conspired with them to threaten the Adhin Madathipathi and demanded money. Hence, he raised objection to grant bail.
5. On seeing the gravity of the offence and also the investigation is not yet completed. Hence, this court is not inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
