PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of petition dated 01.06.2016, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petition dated 01.06.2016 in a time frame.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property being an industrial unit at K-11, Industrial Estate, Ambattur. The original owner of the property was M/s.Leo Industries. The revenue records have been mutated in the name of the petitioner and he was paying property tax.
3. The petitioner alleged that in the assessment order, the name of the original owner was also included, hence the petitioner made a petition to correct the entry. Since no order was passed, the present writ petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent and the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent and perused the materials available on record.
5. In the light of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's petition dated 01.06.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, with in a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing an opportunity to all necessary parties.
6. With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
