CRIME NO.21 OF 2020.

Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to modify the conditions imposed on the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.6779 of 2021 in the order dated 15.04.2021 in Crime No.21 of 2020 pending investigation on the file of the respondent police and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.S.ALAN DAVID RUFUS, Advocate for the Petitioner and of MR.A.GOPINATH, Govt. Advocate (Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- The Petitioner has filed this petition seeking to modify the condition imposed in the order dated 15.04.2021 made in Crl.O.P.No.6779 of 2021.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court has directed the petitioner to appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. for a period of two weeks and further submitted that the petitioner is a resident of Villupuram and the respondent Police Station is at Salem, hence, the petitioner feels it difficult to appear before the respondent Police and prayed this Court to modify the said condition.

3.Heard the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the condition imposed on the petitioner in the order dated 15.04.2021 made in Crl.O.P.No.6779 of 2021 that 'the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. for a period of two weeks and thereafter as and when required for interrogation.'

is modified to the effect that 'the petitioner shall report before the Villupuram Town Police Station, Villupuram, daily at 10.30 a.m. for a period of two weeks and thereafter shall report before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation.'

The other conditions remain unaltered.
