Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to pass a suitable orders on the petitioner appeal dated 24.10.2008 in accordance with law by following principles of Natural Justice within a time frame prescribed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the 4th respondent to pass a suitable orders on the petitioner appeal dated 24.10.2008 in accordance with law by following principles of Natural Justice within a time frame prescribed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioner was working as Senior Manager at Chennai International Airport. He preferred an application dated 22.05.2019 to the 5th respondent, Tahsildar for the transfer of patta in his name for the lands in Alathurnadu Village in Kollihills Taluk. In this application, he sought transfer of patta stating Page No.2 of 6

that he has got right over 2.52 1⁄2 acres of land. Patta was not issued to the petitioner for his land for the past three years for the reason that the petitioner's brother has given objection petition against issuance of patta of the petitioner's properties before the second respondent dated 20.07.2018 and he has also demanded a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-.

It is the further case of the petitioner that his application has been rejected for patta land and the petitioner had filed an appeal to the second and fourth respondent dated 29.10.2018 with no objection of the petitioner's brother and sisters. On receipt of the petitioner's appeal dated 29.10.2018, the second respondent has forwarded the same to the fourth respondent on 13.11.2019. Thereafter, the 6th respondent has issued chitta and adangal to his bother Mr.Anburaj for the petitioner's land. Again, the petitioner sent a representation to the 4th respondent on 10.05.2019 and 10.06.2019 respectively. However, till date, no action has been taken from the fourth respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a letter dated 15.03.2020 to the learned Page No.3 of 6

counsel for the petitioner stating that the petitioner has received the patta with related documents for his lands from the revenue officials concerned. Therefore, the petitioner did not want to proceed with this petition and the same may be withdrawn. He would further submit that he has also received an e-mail in this regard from the petitioner and the same was also submitted before this Court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would also submit on instructions that the revenue official has issued patta to the land owner, namely, petitioner and that this writ petition may be closed.

6. In view of the above submissions made by either side, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
