ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C), 4(1-A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Amendment Act, 2024, in Crime No.107 of 2025, Page No.1 of 4

seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner was that illegally selling a Tamil Nadu Government Liquor Bottles, while the respondent police in patrol duty at Ambur bypass road the petitioner was selling rum bottles illegally, bu purchasing it from unknown person and he was found in possession of 180ml Old Chief XXX Rum - 10 bottles in his two wheeler was seized by the respondent police.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the offence as alleged. He further submitted that the petitioner is willing to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner has 11 previous cases against him.

5. Considering the fact that the petitioner has 11 previous case Page No.2 of 4

against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
