ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025 in accordance with law by appointing her as an Engineer based on the results declared on 19.12.2020 to 16.12.2020 to secure the ends of justice

The petitioner, belonging to the economically poor Adi Dravidar (SC) community, completed her B.E. degree and successfully cleared the TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Examination conducted by the respondent, with results published between 09.12.2020 and 16.12.2020 (Reg. No. 030008120). Upon receiving an email to upload original certificates, she promptly submitted them on 10.12.2020 through an E-Service centre (Application No. 918029831). However, despite repeated follow-ups, she has not received any communication from the respondent from 16.12.2020 to 23.01.2025, hence the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner belongs to the Adi Dravidar (SC) Community and that he participated in the recruitment for the post under the Combined Engineering Services Examination. He further submits that the petitioner uploaded all the
required documents pursuant to Notification No. 18/2019 dated 29.05.2019, but even after uploading all the documents, no communication was received as to why she was not selected. It is further submitted that she made a representation to the respondent in this regard on 22.04.2025.

Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that, though the petitioner did not specifically mention for which recruitment he had participated in, the respondent was able to identify from the records that the petitioner had participated in the recruitment pursuant to Notification No.18/2019, dated 29.05.2019. The results were published in 2020 and the selected candidates have since been working in various departments. Therefore, there was huge delay on the part of the petitioner in challenging the selection. It is further submitted that this delay disentitles the petitioner from getting the relief of mandamus.
5. I have considered the submissions on either side and perused the material records of the case.
6. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner vehemently submits
that no reply was given regarding the documents uploaded by the petitioner, the point to be considered here is the recruitment took place in the year 2019 and the selection list was published in the year 2020. Since the petitioner having slept over the matter for more than five years, it is too late for the petitioner to approach the respondent by way of a representation dated 22.04.2025. Accordingly, the petitioner cannot create a cause of action or reopen the settled matter by simply submitting a representation.
7. In view of the above, this Court finds no merits in the present writ petition. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed.
