ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.Prabhakar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have flouted the order passed by this Court in WP No.20214 of 2021 dated 22.09.2021. The work of repairs has not yet been started or completed. It is only the villagers who have contributed and are doing the work.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that on 25.01.2022, estimates were prepared, and on 13.07.2022, work sanction was given. 65% of the work is completed; Rs.8,20,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh and Twenty Thousand only) has been sanctioned for the work; and the repair work will be completed on or before 31.10.2023. The said statement is accepted as an undertaking to the Court.

4. If the work is not completed by 31.10.2023, the petitioner is at liberty to agitate afresh.

5. The contempt petition is disposed of.
