Order This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent 1 and 3 to conduct the survey by laying boundary stones demarcating Petitioner's property in Old R.S.NO.227/2, New R.S. No.227/13, Plot No.4, Sarojini Nagar, Lalpuram Village, Chidambaram Taluk, Chidambaram SRO, Cuddalore District to an extent of 2180 Sq.ft. by metes and bounds with the assistance of police R2.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner made an application dated 08.12.2025 seeking to survey and demarcate the petitioner's property in Old R.S.NO.227/2, New R.S. No.227/13, Plot No.4, Sarojini Nagar, Lalpuram Village, Chidambaram Taluk, Chidambaram SRO, Cuddalore District to an

extent of 2180 Sq.ft. Considering the petitioner's application, the survey was conducted by the official respondents . However, they failed to lay the boundary stones. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government's counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 3 and 4. Mr.Durai Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. 4.Learned Government's Counsel appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 would submit that when the concerned official respondents conducted survey in the petitioner's property, the 5th respondent obstructed the laying of boundary stones. Therefore, they could not fix the boundary stones. 5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government's Counsel appearing for the respondents. 6.

Considering the submissions made by both parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 1 and 3 to survey the petitioner's property in in Old R.S.NO.227/2, New R.S. No.227/13, Plot No.

through his application dated 08.12.2025, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing prior notice to the petitioner and the 5th respondent with the Police assistance. The 2nd respondent is directed to provide an adequate Police protection for conducting the survey. It is made clear that this order is passed solely for the purpose of directing respondents 1 and 3 to conduct a survey and demarcate the subject property. If any dispute arises regarding the possession of the property, it must be resolved by filing a suit before a competent Civil Court. In the event of a title dispute, the official respondents shall not take possession of the property and hand it over to any of the party. It is up to the parties concerned to seek recovery of possession through the due process of law.
