ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner seeks extension of date for online application for counselling for post graduation in dental medicine. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is required to produce two provisional certificates as follows;

a. for completion of the BDS course b. for completion of the internship.

Since the 4th respondent has not issued the provisional certificate for completion of the internship, that pays some hardship for him to apply for post graduation course.

3.Mrs.Senha, the learned counsel takes for the 2nd respondent and has filed a written note as to the procedure, of which, paragraph 2 and 3 are relevant and

the same are now extracted below;

2.It is humbly submitted that the candidate who have completed Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) but not having CRMI completion certificate are allowed to submit the online application for MDS course for 2023-2024 session. It will give a pop up message where they can upload self declaration saying they will submit at the time of joining if allotted. Since CRMI completion is not mandatory and Permanent Dental Council Registration will also become not mandatory for these candidates. But the candidates should upload Provisional Certificate (P1) for the completion of course. Provisional Certificate (P2) is also not mandatory at the time of submission of Online application.

3.It is humbly submitted that as many representations have been received from candidates it is proposed to extend the process for receipt of applications in PG DEGREE (MD/MS & DIPLOMA) / DNB BOARD SPECIALLY POST MBBS POST DIPLOMA AND POST MBBS 2 YEARS DIPLOMA / MDS Courses for the academic year 2023-2024 session. Hence, the period for online submission of applications is extended upto 17.07.2023 at 5.00 p.m. considering requests from candidates.

4.Learned counsel also informs the Court that time for applying for counselling has been extended to 17.07.2023. This apart, as stated in the paragraph No.2 of the written note provided by the 2nd respondent, the above said second provisional certificate for completion of the internship is also not mandatory
