Respondents Prayer in W.P.No.25101 of 2022: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the issuance of impugned G.O.(Ms) No.65, Human Resources Management (B) Department, dated 4.7.2022 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same and direct the fifth respondent to prepare the promotion panel list for the post of Assistant by fixing inter se seniority among the Junior Assistant and Typist on merits on the basis of marks scored on their respective date of appointment. COMMON ORDER (Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.A.Kalaivanan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Additional AdvocateGeneral, assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3, 5 and 6; and, Mr.R.Bharanidharan, learned counsel for respondent No.4.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Advocate-General for the respondent State submit that the government order challenged in the present writ petitions, bearing G.O.(Ms) No.65, Human Resources Management (B) Department, dated 4.7.2022, is withdrawn under G.O.(Ms) No.74, Human Resources Management (B) Department, dated 16.8.2023.

3. As in the present writ petitions the challenge is only to G.O.(Ms) No.65, Human Resources Management (B) Department, dated 4.7.2022 and the same stands withdrawn, nothing would survive in these writ petitions.

4. Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, all connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
