Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the memorandum No.6667/OTD-C1/Gr-1 dated 08.10.2010 on the file of the fifth respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to recon the petitioner age limit from 17.07.2006 and to appoint the petitioner in any post included in Group-1 service notified vide Notification No.120 for direct recruitment to the vacancy for the year 2006-07 as per his rank. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the memorandum No.6667/OTD-C1/Gr-1 dated 08.10.2010 on the file of the fifth respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner age limit from 17.07.2006 and to appoint the petitioner in any post included in Group-1 service notified vide Notification No.120 for direct recruitment to the vacancy for the year 2006-07 as per his rank. 2.Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 3 to 5 would submit that the matter is squarely covered by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court reported in CDJ 2016 510 [A.Alagesan & Others vs. The State of Tamil Nadu & Another]. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 also confirmed the said fact. 3.In view of the same, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
