ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent - Police not to harass the petitioners in the name of enquiry.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for Government of Tamilnadu (Criminal Side) submitted that based on the complaint given by the defacto complainant, an enquiry was conducted by the 1st respondent. He further submitted that the petitioners were called only for the purpose of enquiry and was not harassed during the process. Further, it is reported that the issue involved in this case is purely civil in nature and hence the parties have submitted an undertaking that they will approach the appropriate forum to relegate their issues. Thereupon, the parties have not been called for an enquiry.

3. Heard both sides and perused the material records.

4. Since the issue involved in this matter is purely civil in nature, the respondent - Police should not enter into the same. Therefore, recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for Government of Tamilnadu (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. 16-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order JER To
