ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 420 of I.P.C. read with Section 76 of Chit Fund Act in Cr.No.5 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused is alleged to have been running unregistered chit and collected a sum of Rs.59,12,700/- from various persons and cheated them.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that A1 in the case was running the Chit and he is the husband of the petitioner and A1 had illegal intimacy with another lady and hence the petitioner and A1 were living separately from the year 2015. He further submitted that A1 died due to COVID - 19 and that the petitioner is no way connected with the case.

4.The learned Government Advocate submitted that as on date more than 160 complaints were received and investigation is pending. 5.Considering the fact that huge amount is involved in the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
