Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to re-fix the petitioner's basic pay for the period of his re-employment in M/s.Cheran Transport Corporation Limited that is from 01.03.1973 to 30.06.1986 and further direct the first respondent to pay arrears of salary so arrived on the basis of the basic pay re-fixed.

ORDER
When the matter was called on 14.06.2018, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence the matter was adjourned to 19.06.2018. When the matter was called on 19.06.2018, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has given change of vakalat. Therefore, in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner the matter was adjourned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to 22.06.2018. When the matter came up on 22.06.2018, as there was no representation for the petitioner this Court directed the Registry to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list and adjourned the matter to 28.06.2018.
2.When the matter was called on 28.06.2018 morning, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and therefore, the matter was passed over to 2:15 p.m. Even at 2:15 p.m, there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, the Registry was directed to post the Writ Petition on 29.06.2018 under the caption 'for dismissal'.
3.Even today, (29.06.2018) when the matter is called there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, there will be no orders as to costs.
