ORDER
Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his application for refund of excess tax deducted at source.
3. It is pointed out by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the request has been made only on 12.7.2016 and without waiting for a reasonable time, the petitioner could not have moved this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader is right in his stand. Hence, no positive direction can be granted. It is needles to state that the respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner dated 12.7.2016 on merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
