By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to be the Power of Attorney Agent of the Principals / petitioners and according to him, the petitioners are the legal heirs of one Mr.Perumal who has inherited 0.27 cents of land in Survey No.1201/2C of Thaiyur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. "A" Register, Patta No.657 still stands in the name of the said Perumal and in this regard, a representation dated 10.03.2015 was submitted to the 1st respondent, for change of name in the patta and the 1st respondent, in turn, has directed the 2nd respondent / Tahsildar, Thiruporur, vide communication dated 14.03.2015 in O.Mu.No.629/2015 to make a local inspection and to submit a report and in spite of the same, the petitioners are yet to be favoured with any response and hence, they came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 2nd respondent to take note of the communication of the 1st respondent dated 14.03.2015 made in O.Mu.No.629/2015 and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 10.03.2015 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the respondents 3 to 5, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 3 to 5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
