ORDER
This contempt petition has been filed alleging the disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 22.03.2021 made in W.P.No.1477 of 2012.
2. Today when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the respondent/District Collector has filed an additional affidavit, whereby, among other things, the Collector has stated the following: "7) The Government passed G.O.Ms.No.74, dated 27.2.2019 wherein the Annexure the scale of pay of Electrician was fixed in scale of Rs.15700-50000 as per the VII Pay Commission. The Petitioner was rightly fixed in the scale of Electrician and he cannot have any grievances."
3. In view of the said statement, where, as per the VII Pay Commission Recommendation, the new pay scale has been fixed for the post of Electrician-cum-Pump Operator and accordingly that had been fixed for the petitioner also where the pay was fixed at Rs.15700 - 50,000/-.
4. When that being the position, it cannot be stated that the orders of this Court has not been complied with.

5. However, if still the petitioner has got any grievance with regard to the said fixation, it is altogether a different matter which can be adjudicated in the manner known to law. Insofar as this contempt petition is concerned, in view of the aforesaid compliance and clarification given by the respondents, no further persuasive action is required in this contempt petition, hence it is to be closed, accordingly it is closed. 18.10.2023 Index : Yes / No Speaking Order : Yes / No Sgl 3/4
