ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.03.2023 to calculate the gratuity and provident fund of the petitioner from 08.12.1997, the date of petitioner's joining on par with others who are equally placed.

2. The case of the writ petitioner is that the petitioner joined as an employee on temporary basis in the second respondent sugar mill on 08.12.1997. It is contended by the petitioner that a false case was given against the petitioner and he was also acquitted from the above case by the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Pappireddipatti on 27.06.2008 and the revision filed against the same has also been dismissed. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents to calculate the gratuity and provident fund of the petitioner 2/5

from 08.12.1997, the date of petitioner's joining on par with others who are equally placed. But the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence the present Writ Petition.

3. Considering the limited relief sought in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.03.2023 and pass Orders on the same as per rules within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
