O R D E R
This petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to admit the father of the petitioner to undergo treatment at Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital.
2. It is seen from records that the father of the petitioner was stabbed by the accused persons on his chest and stomach and he was very severally injured. He was initially taken to the Kumbakonam Government Hospital and thereafter transferred to the Government Hospital Thanjavur. He underwent treatment as in inpatient for more than a month. The nature of injury suffered by the father of the petitioner was "Penetrating injury Abdomen/Right Lob Liver Laceration".

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted since the victim suffered a very serious injury in his liver, it has been damaged very badly and he is deteriorating on a day today basis. The learned counsel further submitted that the respondent police is not taking any steps to get the petitioner's father admitted at the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital, where the petitioner's father had already taken treatment as an inpatient for more than a month.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that unless there is a direction given by this Court, the first respondent police cannot insist the second respondent to admit the father of the petitioner to undergo treatment.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent police to immediately get the father of the petitioner admitted at Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital and he shall be given treatment in the said hospital and discharged only after he completely recovers.
6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
