2. We have heard Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, appearing for respondents.

3. The present public interest litigation seeks directions to conduct public auction for fishing rights for the lake situated in Pulavari Village, Veerapandi Secondary Grade Panchayat, Salem District.

4. Counter-affidavit is filed by the fourth respondent on 06.01.2022. It is stated that fishing auction is conducted by the fourth respondent and the same is approved by the executive engineer under letter dated 20.01.2020 for the period from 01.07.2019 to 30.06.2020. Also, fishing auction was conducted for the period from 01.07.2020 to 30.06.2021 and the same was approved by the

executive engineer on 09.11.2020. The affidavit further stated that for the period between 01.07.2021 and 30.06.2022, steps are initiated to conduct fishing auction.

5. In light of that, the grievance of the petitioner is redressed. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
