ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU J.) The petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition alleging that his daughter C.Sasikala, aged 17 years has been found missing.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned counsel on record for the petitioner did not make appearance. The petitioner appeared in person.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor made appearance. The respondent, Inspector of police also made his appearance. On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that in the year 2014, the very same victim girl was taken by one Sankar and he committed offences under POCSO Act against the detenue. A case was registered in connection with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the same. She was secured and through Court she was entrusted to the safe custody of the petitioner. Mr.Sankar was arrested and he was remanded to judicial custody also and now, according to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor again she has eloped with Sankar. This is the information collected through investigation.

4. In respect of the present occurrence, a case has been registered in Cr.No.1113/2016 and the same is under investigation.

5. In view of the above facts, we are not inclined to issue any direction as prayed for in the petition except issuing a direction to respondent police to thoroughly investigate the matter in accordance with law.
