PRAYER : Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the Principal District Court, Cuddalore to take up the O.P.No.55 of 2015 for final hearing and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This Petition is filed seeking direction to the Learned Principal District Judge, Cuddalore to take up the O.P.No.55 of 2015 for final hearing and dispose the same within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the sole arbitrator passed the award on 27.08.2014. The Petitioner filed O.P.No.55 of 2015 challenging the award. This O.P.No.55 of 2015 is pending without any progress. Therefore, this Petition.

3.Admittedly, this O.P.No.55 of 2015 is pending for more than five years. Courts are expected to give priority in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

disposing of the old cases especially cases pending for more than five years. Therefore, the Learned Principal District Judge, Cuddalore is directed to dispose the O.P.No.55 of 2015 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 4.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. No costs.
