Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third and fourth respondents, i.e., the Director of Agriculture, Chepauk, Chennai and the Joint Director of Agriculture, Thiruvallur to pay the terminal benefits and family pension to the petitioner by obtaining necessary sanction from the Government.

ORDER
When this re-numbered writ petition, on being transferred from the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal in O.A.No.1222 of 2003, seeking a prayer for payment of pension was taken up today, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4, placing on record the G.O.(D) No.286, Agriculture (AA4(1) Department dated 28.11.2014, made a statement before this Court that the Government has accorded sanction for payment of pension to Tmt.R.Shenbagavalli, W/o (late) Loganatha Mudali, Watchman, Agricultural Godown under the control of the then Commissioner, Panchayat Union, Minjur, now Department of Agriculture, who expired on 26.1.62.
2. As the Government has already sanctioned family pension to the petitioner-Tmt.R.Shenbagavalli with a direction to the Accountant General (A&E), Chennai to sanction the eligible family pension to the petitioner even without insisting upon an affidavit to be filed by the co-petitioner, nothing survives in the writ petition.
