Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, Directing the 5th respondent to conduct and complete the enquiry under Revenue Standing Orders RSO 15-41(4) (iii) in the time bound matter and retrieve the land assigned to depressed community people.

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 5th respondent to conduct and complete the enquiry under Revenue Standing Orders RSO 1541(4) (iii) in the time bound matter and retrieve the land assigned to depressed community people.

A counter has been filed by the 5th respondent, wherein in paragraph No.11, it has been stated as follows:- "11 .I submit that this Petitioner has submitted a representation to the 2nd Respondent on 03.02.2024. Upon receiving the same, the 2nd respondent has called for a detailed report from the 3rdRespondent and the 3rd respondent has sent a letter to the 5th respondent to conduct enquiry and to send a detailed report in this regard. While so, the 5th Respondent herein has also sent a letter to the 6thRespondent to conduct a detailed enquiry and to send a report regarding the representation of this Writ Petitioner which is yet to be received. In this regard, the 5th Respondent will conduct a detailed enquiry by affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the Petitioner as well as the interested parties of the lands in dispute and the 7 to 9 Respondents and a detailed order will be passed in accordance with law."
2. A perusal of the same would indicate that the authorities have 3/6
taken cognizance of the complaint given by the petitioner and are holding an enquiry into it.
3. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 5th respondent that the above-said exercise shall be completed within a period of 3 months after issuing notice to the petitioner and persons,who are in possession of the subject property.
