ORDER

The petitioner filed O.A.No.1265 of 2003 before the Tamil Administrative Tribunal seeking a direction to the respondents to redesignate his post as Assistant Engineer with effect from 02.02.1984. On abolition of the Tribunal, the same was transferred to the file of this Court and re-numbered as W.P.No.14339 of 2007.

2. At the time of filing Original Application of the year 2003, the petitioner was aged about 55 years and therefore, he would have retired from service on reaching the age of superannuation long back. Thus, in my view, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Accordingly, on this score, the writ petition stands closed. No Costs.
