The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023, and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, in Crime No.252 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. This Court has carefully considered the materials available on record. Since the FIR discloses the commission of offences under the provisions of the Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, the bar contained under Section 18 of the said Act operates against the grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, this petition seeking anticipatory bail is not maintainable.
