respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to take necessary action to restore the electricity through the employees of the 4th Respondent and if upon failure of the same consequently direct the 1st Respondent to take action under the Essential Services Maintenance Act 1961 through the 2nd Respondent.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The matter pertains to the disruption of electricity in parts of Puducherry following a strike by a section of workers.

2. Learned Additional Solicitor-General and learned Government Pleader representing Puducherry submit that normal electricity supply has been restored to the areas affected and complained of in the petition.

3. In such view of the matter, nothing remains of the petition and W.P.No.18668 of 2020 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
