Ms.Malar, learned counsel for the Appellant/claimant and Mr.D.Bhaskar, learned counsel for the second respondent, are present.

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.2,57,500/- [Rupees Two Lakhs, Fifty Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Only], together with interest at 7.5% per annum, from the date of petition. Aggrieved by the award of the Tribunal, the appellant/claimant preferred the present appeal. 2.

After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to settle the award to a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only), over and above the award amount of the Tribunal, as full quit compensation.

The second respondent/insurance company is directed to deposit the amount of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Only), now arrived today, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, to the credit of M.A.C.T.O.P.No.5861 of 2018 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, III Small Causes Court, Chennai and on such deposit, the appellant/claimant is directed to withdraw the same. 4.

The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the party concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. 5.

The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. No costs.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement.
