Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of certiorarified mandamus to quash the election conducted by the 3rd respondent on 08.07.2018 and direct the 2nd respondent to issue fresh election notification to conduct the election for the selection of the office bearers of Big Mosque, Sriperumbudur.

This Writ Petition is filed as against the order passed by the Election Officer, Wakf Superintendent, Big Mosque on 08.07.2018 declaring the 11 successful candidates to administer the Wakf. As the election was held by the 3rd respondent to elect the office bearers and the 3rd respondent, after the election https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

process, on the basis of the votes obtained by the candidates, declared the successful candidates. The petitioner having raised various irregularities in holding the election is necessarily bound to approach only the Wakf Tribunal in the manner know to law.

2.It is at this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought liberty to the petitioner to approach the Wakf Tribunal with appropriate petition.

3.The Writ Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is given liberty to approach the Wakf Tribunal. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
